Russian-Speaking Metal Trader

Overview
A well-established Japanese trading house is currently looking for a Russian-Speaking Metal Trader to join their growing Metal Recycling & Primary Metals Dept. Based in their Amsterdam Branch this role will ideally suit those with 2 years of sales experience. This position requires about 30% business travel per month.

Type:
Full-time 12-month contract to start, to become permanent

Working hours:

9:00-17:00 from Monday to Friday. Currently, hybrid working style, working 3 days a week in office

Salary: 43k – 60k including Holiday allowance and Bonus (depending on experience), plus benefits (travel fee, health insurance)

Responsibilities

Dealing with Non-Ferrous metal recycling and its primary metal in worldwide market

Handling customers through purchase to sales in all aspects of business (e.g., marketing, visiting, quality checking, pricing, negotiation for purchase & sales, managing documentation, payments & profit calculation)

Taking care of existing customers & developing new customers, new item, business schemes & new flow of business in various countries

Resolving customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, & making recommendations

Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Reporting to management by submitting daily activities & own analytical thought

Qualifications

Ability to speak both English & Russian

Right to work (e.g., EU nationality, Dutch work permit)

Minimum Bachelor’s or equivalent

EU Driving license

2+ years of experience in sales field would be advantageous

Experience in another company for at least 3 years would be advantageous

Client relationships, communication skills for various types & nationalities of people & customers, negotiation skills, translation skills, closing skills, self-confidence, self-motivation, toughness for hard work and travels, & presentation skills

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of international trading (shipping, Incoterms, etc.)

Japanese is not mandatory, but a person who is at least interested in Japanese culture is preferred

Willingness to travel to different countries is advantageous

Personality: serious but able to have fun
