Head of Supply Chain Management

Job Description:

As the Head of Supply Chain, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire supply chain process, from procurement and inventory management to distribution and logistics. You will lead a team of supply chain professionals, develop strategies to optimize operations, and ensure the seamless flow of products from suppliers to customers. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills and a proven track record in supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement supply chain strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and meet company objectives.
Oversee procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and distribution operations.
Collaborate with key stakeholders, including suppliers, manufacturers, and internal departments, to ensure a smooth supply chain process.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance supply chain performance and reduce lead times.
Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of supply chain operations.
Drive sustainability initiatives within the supply chain to reduce environmental impact and promote responsible sourcing.
Skills and Experience

Required:

Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution.
Experience in leading and managing teams, with a track record of developing and mentoring employees.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.

Experience with supply chain management software and technology solutions.
Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
