Overview  Risk Capital Advisors (RCA) is a boutique broker in M&A insurance advisory, specializing in creating bespoke insurance solutions that mitigate risks associated with mergers and acquisitions and contingent risks (like Tax risks). RCA was established in 2011 and the European firm started in 2020. RCA offers its clients a unique combined experience, spanning M&A legal advisory, underwriting, brokerage and entrepreneurial expertise.

RCA serves corporates, investment funds, law firms, and M&A professionals, offering tailored services and building trusted relationships offering a wealth of experience and expertise. Leveraging long-standing partnerships with specialist insurers, RCA ensures effective claims management alongside comprehensive risk mitigation strategies for clients.

Role Description  This is an on-site full or part-time role located in Amsterdam, for a Broker specializing in M&A Insurance. The Broker will be responsible for advising clients and structuring comprehensive insurance solutions related to M&A activities, including warranties, indemnities, tax liabilities, and other contingent risks. Tasks include liaising with clients and insurers providing expert advice in insurance placement supporting clients through complex transactions and managing claims processes.

The position also requires collaboration with legal, financial, and M&A professionals to deliver efficient and tailored services.
The role and work of a M&A broker is for a large part commercial to build trust and client relationships and for the major part advisory, assisting the client during the underwriting process and policy negotiations. The work differs substantially from that of a M&A lawyer in terms of drafting, time pressure, legal expertise and your role.
Qualifications   Expertise in M&A (legal) advisory and the documents that are commonly used in these type of transactions (4 years minimum).
Knowledge of the M&A process to assess risks and develop tailored solutions for clients.
Strong Customer Service and relationship management skills to effectively support clients and maintain long-term relationships.

Good analytical , negotiation, and excellent communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, transaction-driven environment.

Experience with Insurance Brokerage and understanding of the insurance market and M&A insurance products could be a plus.
Proficiency in English, with additional language skills considered a plus
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, law, or a related field
