As a Service Now SAMPro Consultant, you will:
- Lead end-to-end Software Asset Management using Service Now SAMPro, including discovery, normalization, reconciliation, compliance, and optimization.
- Monitor software installations and normalize data using publisher packs and reconciliation automation.
- Perform license reconciliation by matching deployments with entitlements and identifying compliance gaps.
- Drive usage optimization by identifying unused software, reclaiming licenses, and reducing overall spend.
- Prepare Effective License Position (ELP) reports and audit‑ready documentation.
- Support vendor audits and provide data for negotiations with major publishers such as Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, VMware, and Salesforce.
- Manage software entitlements, contracts, license models, and Content Service within Service Now.
- Maintain and support integrations with SCCM, Intune, Flexera, and ILMT.
- Enforce SAM governance processes and ensure adherence to organizational standards.
- 10+ years of overall experience in IT Asset Management / Software Asset Management.
- 3+ years of hands‑on Service Now SAMPro experience.
- Strong expertise in Service Now SAMPro (publisher packs, reconciliation automation).
- Deep knowledge of Oracle licensing (Database, Options, Web Logic, Java, ULA).
- Strong experience with Microsoft licensing (EA / SPLA).
- Hands‑on exposure to SCCM, Intune, ILMT, Flexera, and virtualization platforms.
- Proven analytical skills with experience in audit defense and compliance reporting.
- ITIL Foundation preferred;
Service Now certifications are desirable. - Experience with SAM / HAM Pro is a plus.
- Exposure to SaaS insights and Service Now workflow automation is advantageous.
- Analyze complex licensing data and establish accurate compliance positions.
- Identify optimization opportunities and drive cost savings.
- Prepare audit‑ready documentation and support vendor compliance engagements.
- Manage multiple integrations across discovery and asset tools.
- Interpret licensing models across major software publishers.
- Work independently while collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Apply governance frameworks and SAM best practices consistently.
