Overview

We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join our fast-growing digital strategy-execution company.

Momentum Digital is a rapidly growing company specializing in digital strategy and execution. It was founded by Mark Schröder and Kim Pellikaan, both of whom have decades of experience in building agencies and scale-ups. Our goal is to execute strategies proposed, not just deliver presentations. We are scaling quickly and are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to support growth.

As a Lead Software Engineer at Momentum Digital, you take the lead in building an exceptional team of Software Engineers. You ensure that your team delivers impactful digital transformation projects that drive real business value. You will guide your team in designing and building smart, scalable, data-driven solutions from AI-powered workflows and autonomous agents to advanced analytics applications, using technologies such as Python (Django), Azure cloud-native services, Terraform, Git Hub (CI/CD), Cursor AI, Tailwind, and Large Language Models.

You take ownership of the entire project lifecycle, from planning and budgeting to quality assurance, applying best practices such as convention over configuration to ensure strong, future-proof solutions.

You will help build a company that is certified as Great-Place-to-Work and aim to expand the team to over 10 team members within three years. You also aim to maintain a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 50 or higher while safeguarding billability, and you will be commercially responsible for renewals and resales worth €500,000 per year.

• Holding professional Data Engineering and Machine Learning Databricks certifications.
• Demonstrating strong expertise in data-driven application development using Python, with hands-on experience in Azure, GCP, and implementing solutions leveraging Large Language Models.
• Master’s degree, preferably in a scientific field.
• Strong affinity for IT and solution building, with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to proactively address potential challenges.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, with outstanding customer interaction and presentation skills, capable of leading effective conversations.
• Ability to develop strategies, make them understandable for clients, and translate them into implemented solutions.
• Ability to build and develop a team, supporting your people in good times and leading them in challenging situations.

• Help Momentum Digital achieve Great-Place-to-Work certification.
• Attract and manage 10+ team members in three years.
