As a Product Designer at Intelic, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our mission autonomy platform. You will help ensure our product is not only powerful but also usable in the most demanding operational environments. Working at the intersection of user needs, technology, and business outcomes, you will drive design discovery, validate ideas with end-users, and craft intuitive workflows that empower operators in the field.

In practice, this means:

• Partnering with product managers and engineers in a truly empowered product team to discover and deliver solutions that drive measurable outcomes.
• Engaging directly with defense operators to deeply understand their context, constraints, and needs through interviews, observations, and usability testing and experiments.
• Translating discovery insights into wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that simplify complex systems into clear, intuitive interfaces.
• Iterating rapidly based on feedback and measurable results, applying a “test and learn” mindset.
• Contributing to the design system that ensures consistency, scalability, and speed in product development.
• Making decisions guided by objectives and key results (OKRs) rather than output, ensuring design work ties directly to meaningful outcomes.

Design, for you, is about solving meaningful problems rather than adding polish. You work best in cross‑functional teams, where collaboration and discovery shape the outcome. Fieldwork and tough questions don’t intimidate you; they’re how you uncover insights that turn into practical, impactful product solutions. This includes:

• Proven experience in product design, with a portfolio that demonstrates discovery‑driven design processes as well as strong visual and interaction skills.
• Familiarity with continuous discovery practices, from customer interviews to rapid prototyping and hypothesis‑driven design.
• Comfort in working with engineers and product managers, speaking their language and co‑creating solutions.
• Ability to design for highly complex workflows and distill them into simple, usable interfaces.
• A clear and structured communication style, with the ability to defend design decisions through insights and outcomes rather than opinions.
• Willingness to occasionally support field activities and interact directly with military end‑users.
