We are looking for a Senior Manager Data Engineering to join our Intelligence & Data (I&D) practice and play a key role in shaping our data engineering capability, leading complex client engagements, and growing high-performing teams.

As a Senior Manager Data Engineering, you will take ownership of data engineering initiatives across multiple clients and internal projects. You will lead solution design, set technical standards, mentor engineers, and contribute to the strategic growth of Riverflex’s data engineering offering. You will work closely with clients, product leaders, architects, and delivery teams to translate business objectives into scalable, secure, and future-proof data platforms.

• Technical & Delivery Leadership

  Lead the architecture, design, and delivery of end-to-end data platforms on cloud environments (Azure, Databricks).

• Define and oversee the implementation of
  scalable, secure, and high-performance data pipelines

  (batch and real-time).

• Act as the technical authority on data engineering topics across client engagements.

• Ensure platform reliability, performance, monitoring, and cost efficiency.

• Team & Practice Leadership

  Lead, mentor, and grow teams of data engineers
  , fostering engineering excellence and best practices.

• Set standards for data modeling, data quality, testing, documentation, and governance

• Contribute to capability building within the D&A practice, including tooling, accelerators, and reusable frameworks.

• Support hiring, onboarding, and career development of data engineering talent.

• Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, translating business needs into technical solutions.

• Lead technical discussions, solution proposals, and roadmap planning with clients.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with analytics, product, and platform teams to enable data products and insights.

• Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements (e.g. GDPR).

• Innovation & Strategy

  Evaluate and introduce new technologies and approaches to improve scalability, performance, and developer experience.

• Drive adoption of modern data stack principles
  , Dev Ops/Data Ops, and cloud-native architectures.

• Support pre-sales activities and contribute to shaping Riverflex’s data engineering vision.

Must Haves

• A Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering roles.

• Proven experience leading complex data engineering projects and technical teams.

• Strong hands-on expertise in Python, SQL, and distributed data processing frameworks (e.g. Spark).

• Extensive experience with Azure and Databricks in enterprise environments.

• Deep understanding of data modeling
  , lakehouse architectures, and modern data warehousing concepts.

• Experience with
  real-time data ingestion
  , orchestration, and workflow management (e.g. Airflow, Azure Data Factory).

• Strong background in Dev Ops/Data Ops
