About the Role
The Localization team is seeking an experienced Program Manager with a strong client-facing background and expertise in localization and transcription to help meet Uber’s growing global content needs. In this role, you’ll partner cross-functionally with teams across Tech, Design, Content, Engineering, Operations, GenAI
, and Localization to ensure timely delivery and high linguistic quality for both global and regional launches.
What you will do
Manage end-to-end client programs using Uber AI Solutions, covering all supported languages — including planning, production, delivery, linguistic QA, audits, and final deliverables.Act as the primary liaison between Uber AI Solutions, vendors, and clients, ensuring smooth communication, transparent reporting, and strong partnership alignment.Review and influence Product Requirement Documents (PRDs/RFCs) related to new features or client requests, identify pain points, and propose improvements to tools and processes.Oversee all aspects of client program management — including communication, rate card management, setting expectations, distributing surveys, and tracking task-related progress.Proactively drive or propose cross-functional initiatives to identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.Identify tooling and process gaps, and collaborate with Tech and Operations teams to develop scalable, efficient solutions.Partner closely with vendors, suppliers, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless task execution, KPI alignment, and on-time delivery during local business hours.Build and maintain strong client and vendor relationships to foster trust, accountability, and long‑term collaboration.
Basic Qualifications
BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.Minimum 4 years of program management experience within the high‑tech industry.Proven vendor and client relationship management experience, with the ability to balance multiple stakeholders and maintain strong partnerships.Experience working on the vendor side with Fortune 100 companies or large enterprise localization teams.Demonstrated experience managing budgets

Strong understanding of localization (L10n) and internationalization (I18n) principles and challenges.Experience using CAT tools and localization workflow management platforms (e.g.,
Idiom World Server, Phrase, Trados
).Experience managing localization across multiple content types, including UI, Help Center, Marketing, and Legal
