About the Role
Are you ready to take the lead on credit management across Europe in a truly international setting? ICL is looking for a proactive and strategic Europe Credit Manager to join our Treasury team at our Amsterdam headquarters. In this role, you’ll make a real impact by driving credit performance across multiple countries, partnering closely with sales and leadership teams, and shaping the way we work with credit processes globally.
You will manage day‑to‑day credit operations, ensure compliance with internal frameworks, and play a key part in SOX audits and financial closing cycles. This is a hands‑on role with wide exposure across our European organization—perfect for someone who combines strong analytical thinking with confident stakeholder management and a drive to continuously improve.
- Harmonize and align credit processes across all relevant European countries
- Ensure full compliance with internal policies, including bi‑monthly debtor reporting
- Maintain and adjust customer credit lines, working closely with our credit insurer (Atradius)
- Serve as the main point of contact for all credit insurance matters
- Manage SOX related reporting and documentation
- Assess the financial stability of both new and existing customers
- Work alongside the Group Credit Manager on credit limit decisions
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to provide insights into customer performance and risk
- Manage credit lines and coordinate credit insurance coverage
- Support negotiations and help find creative solutions when coverage challenges arise
- Collaborate with collections teams to address overdue accounts and resolve credit‑related issues efficiently
- Streamline and standardize reporting within SAP and QAD
- Deliver clear reports to management for better decision making
- Maintain strong alignment with the global credit insurance organization
- Customize and enhance SAP and QAD functionalities to support credit management
- Lead and support European rollouts of the new SAP Credit Management Tool
- Ensure smooth integration between SAP and QAD
- Monitor and analyze potential fraud risks across customer credit activity
- Conduct audits and reviews of controls and processes
- Train employees on fraud prevention, red flags, and compliance protocols
- A university degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
- Solid experience in credit management within international environments
- Strong working knowledge of SAP and QAD
- Familiarity with trade Incoterms and global credit management standards
- A proven ability to harmonize processes across countries
- Experience training, coaching, or guiding team members
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills
- A flexible, hands‑on mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced setting
- Fluent English, spoken and written
