The role:
As Finance Transformation Manager, you will be responsible for driving the transformation, standardization, and continuous improvement of Finance and Accounting processes across Europe. You will focus on strengthening financial processes, controls, and ways of working to support scalable growth, compliance, and operational excellence. Sitting within the Accounting team, this role acts as a key bridge between Accounting, Controlling and IT, ensuring that Finance processes are fit for scale, consistently applied across markets, and well embedded in systems and governance frameworks.

Responsibilities- Finance Process Transformation:
Lead and drive finance and accounting transformation initiatives across Europe. Design, standardize, and continuously improve end-to-end Finance processes (e.g., O2C, P2P, R2R). Identify inefficiencies, manual workarounds, and control gaps, and translate them into structured improvement initiatives. Support the rollout of new processes, policies, and ways of working across HQ and markets. - Accounting & Control Framework:
Strengthen accounting governance, internal controls, and process documentation. Ensure consistent application of accounting policies and processes across countries. Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close improvements, including close acceleration initiatives. Act as a key Finance counterpart for external audits, focusing on process quality and control effectiveness. - Systems & Implementation Support:
Work closely with IT to ensure Finance processes are correctly reflected in systems (SAP FI/CO; S/4
HANA exposure is a plus). Translate Finance and Accounting requirements into clear process and system specifications. Support system implementations, upgrades, and rollouts from a Finance process and control perspective. Ensure process changes are embedded sustainably in systems, not handled via manual workarounds. - Governance & Change Management:
Establish and maintain clear Finance process ownership, documentation, and governance structures. Drive change management activities to ensure adoption of new processes across markets. Align Accounting, Operational Finance, Tax, Treasury, and Commercial Finance stakeholders on transformation priorities. Act as a role model for structured, disciplined execution while maintaining a pragmatic, hands-on approach.
- 10+ years of professional experience in Accounting, Finance, or Finance Transformation, preferably in an international, complex, or scale-up environment.
- A strong accounting foundation, combined with proven experience in driving Finance process improvements and transformation initiatives.
- Solid understanding of end-to-end Finance processes (O2C, P2P, R2R) and their control and compliance implications.
- Practical experience working with SAP FI/CO; exposure to SAP S/4
HANA, system implementations, or process redesign projects is a strong plus. - Proven ability to translate accounting and control requirements into scalable, standardized processes.
- Experience working closely with IT, Finance Digital, and business stakeholders on transformation and implementation initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence across functions and countries.
- A structured, detail-oriented, and improvement-driven mindset, combined with the ability to remain pragmatic and hands-on.
- Excellent English language skills; additional European languages are a plus but not a requirement.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint, particularly for process analysis, documentation, and management communication.
