Job Summary: As an Accounts Receivable (AR) Accountant, you will manage a global portfolio of accounts, ensuring the accurate input and allocation of daily receipts. You will specialize in one of the four sub-teams within AR (Direct Debit Collection, GLs Reconciliation, Autobank & Test Accounts, or Global Chains), collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders to enhance systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cash Payments: Post all incoming cash payments from customers (direct debit & bank transfer) and ensure accurate and timely allocation, adhering to SLAs. Rectify any allocation or process issues.
  • Records Maintenance: Set up and maintain records and files concerning customer remittance and accounts receivable posting transactions. Perform GL reconciliations.
  • Compliance: Ensure standard processes are followed and documented in line with compliance standards and guidelines.
  • Sub-Team Operations:
    • Direct Debit: Manage direct debit collections.
    • GLs: Handle month-end close, SOX controls, and support the finance close.
    • Autobank: Improve and maintain automatic payment allocations.
    • Global Chains: Manage collections from global chains such as Marriott and Hilton.
  • Stakeholder Interaction: Maintain regular contact with banks, third-party providers, and internal stakeholders at all levels.

Education:

  • Degree: Bachelor's degree (preferably in Finance).

Special Knowledge/Skills:

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP and MS Office.
  • Communication: Excellent written and spoken English skills.
  • Approach: Team and service-oriented.
  • Experience: Experience with process improvement or automation.
  • Attention to Detail: Accuracy and good attention to detail.
  • Independence: Ability to work independently with high self-motivation and discipline.
  • Attributes: Persistence, urgency, creativity, full ownership, accountability, and proactiveness.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • International Focus: Awareness of different cultures.

Experience:

  • Relevant Experience: 2+ years of relevant job experience.
  • Broad Job Knowledge: 3 - 5 years preferred.
