About the Opportunity
We are creating a pool of Consultants in the Clean Energy Sector for the IFDK-funded Framework Agreement for Technical Assistance Services – Public Infrastructure Finance Projects . Consultants in this pool will be contacted for specific assignments as they arise. If you have relevant experience, we encourage you to apply.
The Consultants shall provide comprehensive technical assistance services to support the identification, preparation, implementation, and monitoring of clean energy and climate-related infrastructure projects in less developed countries, in alignment with PI’s impact mandate and IFDK’s internal standards.
The Consultant’s services may include but are not limited to:
Sector Assessments and Investment Prioritisation;
Project Preparation and Study Execution;
Environmental and Social (E&S) Advisory Services;
Climate Risk and Adaptation Assessments;
Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Accounting;
Impact Measurement and Management;
Capacity Building and Knowledge Transfer;
Ad Hoc Technical and Multidisciplinary Support.
Required skills and experience
University-degree education (at least Bachelor’s Degree) in the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) or equivalent university degree, preferably but not exclusively in one of the Energy, Environment, Climate, Economics, and Engineering related fields.
At least 10 years of relevant and ongoing work experience in Energy Economics and Financial Viability, including assessment of cost-effectiveness, affordability, and long-term sustainability of clean energy investments, including tariff modelling, subsidy design, and economic analysis of energy systems
Project experience working in least developed, low-income, or lower middle-income countries as classified by the OECD DAC list of ODA recipients.
Full working proficiency in English, both written and spoken (accredited with at least level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages or equivalent).
