Join a fast-growing company with a purpose! At Fastned you will actively contribute to accelerating the transition to electric mobility. You will join our mission to build a Europe-wide network of 1,000 fast charging stations. We are 400+ colleagues from over 40 nationalities, spread across 10 operational countries, with our HQ located in Amsterdam. We have recently been voted the best charging network in the UK, France, and the Netherlands, a testimony to our drive to offer the best charging experience to EV drivers!

Your role

As Fastned’s Circularity Manager
, you will drive sustainable innovation in materials, supply chain and methods within construction across our European markets. As part of the Building Engineering team, you will help Fastned reduce its CO₂ footprint by embedding circular economy principles into our products, processes, and partnerships.

You will work cross-functionally with internal and external engineers, architects and suppliers to challenge the status quo and accelerate the shift toward a regenerative, low-impact construction industry.

Your mission is to identify measures, quantify the value of them and ensure they are being implemented — environmentally, technically, and economically. You’ll play a central role in shaping data-driven sustainability strategies, building transparent reporting systems, and influencing both internal stakeholders and external partners toward more regenerative practices.

Your responsibilities include:
  • Drive circular and sustainable initiatives

    • Champion circular economy principles internally and externally.

    • Act as a thought leader and advisor to engineering, product, and procurement teams to embed circularity into the entire product lifecycle Airbus

    • Evaluate and challenge construction methods, materials and design choices based on their reuse, recyclability, and embodied carbon.

    • Investigate new material solutions and pilot initiatives with suppliers to test and scale circular practices.

  • Quantify the efforts and make them traceable

    • Develop, implement, and manage KPIs to track circularity progress.

    • Work with suppliers on reporting and data provision with regards to the emissions of their products.

    • Explore methodologies for strategic CO₂ reduction (such as carbon accounting).

    • Map material and product flows to identify opportunities for circular intervention.

  • Develop a systematic approach on data and automated reporting

    • Manage the continuous improvement of the Lice Cycle Assessments (LCA) of the products used in the construction of a Fastned Station.

    • Improve data collection, traceability, and storage related to sustainability and circularity.

    • Collaborate with data and IT teams to automate sustainability reporting and enable real-time insights.

Who we are looking for:
  • Background in engineering, sustainability, materials science, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in sustainability, circular economy, supply chain innovation, or product development, ideally in hands‑on roles.

  • Experience working with sustainability reporting tools and data systems.

  • Strong understanding of circular economy principles, life‑cycle thinking, and carbon accounting.

  • Proven ability to drive cross‑functional projects and align diverse stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills—comfortable leading discussions at both technical and strategic levels.

  • Fluency in English; other European languages are a plus.
