Position: Senior Examiner & Assessment Developer (Part-Time)

The IB is currently seeking experienced individuals for the following part‑time roles, usually undertaken in addition to existing work commitments and involving no relocation.

Deputy Examiner Responsible (DER)
The duties of DER include the setting and marking of examinations and determining final grades of students.

Responsibilities and

Qualifications:

Have a degree or equivalent in the subject (or a related subject) for which you are applying.

Have a minimum of one year’s experience teaching the subject (or a related subject) to students aged 16‑18 years (DP).

Be a native speaker / fluent in the required language in order to write reports and mark students’ written and spoken responses.

We are recruiting DERs in the following subjects and languages:

Tajik A Literature – English and Tajik language

Irish A Literature – English and Irish (Gaeilge) language

Welsh A Literature – English and Welsh language

Assessment Content Developer
Assessment content developers are involved in the creation and fine‑tuning of assessments to ensure that they are fit for purpose.

Responsibilities and

Qualifications:

Have a degree or equivalent in the subject (or a related subject) for which you are applying.

Have a minimum of two years’ experience teaching the subject (or a related subject) to students aged 16‑18 years (DP).

Have a detailed, up‑to‑date knowledge of the subject for which you are applying.

Be familiar with the principles and challenges of good assessment, including the design of assessments.

Demonstrate a high level of enthusiasm for the use of technology in assessment processes, including e‑Marking tools and on‑screen assessment.

Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to international education.

Have the ability to communicate, read documents, and write reports in the required language.

We are recruiting content developers in the following subjects and languages:

Hebrew B – English and Hebrew language

Arabic Ab Initio – English and Arabic language
