Head of Product Design

At Storio, our goal is to Make Joy Unforgettable. We do this by creating high-quality, personalised photo products. As the Head of Product Design, you will lead the product design team, helping them create a user experience that is both usable and desirable. You will work to improve our design practices and support our designers as they grow their careers.

• You lead and coach a team of 6 product designers.
• You work with the Head of UX Research and Head of Product to shape and define our design process.
• You ensure the product design practice is a great place to work, championing excellence, creativity, and new ideas.
• You stay ahead of industry trends, tools, and methodologies.
• You oversee our design tool contracts.
• You track progress on how our design team adopts new tools, processes, and standards.

• You drive excellence across our product design practice.
• You build a strong, inclusive, and psychologically safe team culture.
• You ensure our design system is scalable and maintained.
• You work with the Head of UX Research and Head of Product to define and implement a scalable way to map customer journeys.
• You champion inclusive design methods to understand the needs of all our customers.
• You define and maintain insight-informed design principles.
• You lead our team in meeting WCAG AA standards.

• You have direct line management experience specifically with product designers.
• You have a lot of progressive product design experience, including at a senior leadership level.
• You have defined, implemented, and scaled product design processes and frameworks.
• You have experience setting up, managing, or evolving a design system.
• You have experience designing accessible user journeys to WCAG AA standards.
• You have strong communication and storytelling skills.

• You have experience in a B2C ecommerce environment.
• You have experience with both physical and digital products.
• You are familiar with using Jira for planning and task management.
