Position: Social Creative Lead - 6 month FTC

• 6 month fixed term contract

This role is part of our Creative and Media team based in Rotterdam and Amsterdam. Together, we blend imaginative storytelling and performance-driven strategies with cutting-edge technology to create engaging digital experiences that build lasting relationships with our clients like Netflix, Reckitt, Foot Locker, Red Bull & Biscoff.

purpose

As Social Creative Lead, you are the creative engine of our social team. You set the bar for what excellent social work looks like within our agency and help shape the evolution of our social craft toward 2026. You translate trends, client needs, and innovative ideas into creative standards, concepts, and strategies that drive impact.

You work closely with clients such as Burger King, Ziggo, and Nikon, ensuring our social campaigns are not only relevant and distinctive, but also award-worthy and consistently high in quality.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

Define the creative standard Set, guard, and elevate the creative standard for the social team, inspiring colleagues to reach and exceed it.

Team development Coach and develop the team, share your vision and creative style, and foster a culture of innovation and quality.

Process & collaboration Optimize processes and ways of working within the team, including shaping reviews and feedback loops.

Strategic social vision Develop a creative vision for social at DEPT toward 2026 and define the steps needed to get there, including:

  • Developing missing propositions within the social team
  • Leveraging relevant trends to stay distinctive
  • Improving the visibility and consistency of our work - internally and externally
  • Identifying ideas and concepts with award potential
  • Proactively advising and supporting clients

Goals & KPIs Set clear goals (north stars) for both craft excellence and the overall level of social creative work.

Innovation & inspiration Bring your creative energy and vision to inspire the team and explore new opportunities.

Qualifications

What you bring:

  • Proven experience in social creative work within an agency environment
  • A strong vision for creative social campaigns and trends
  • Leadership skills and experience coaching and developing creative teams
  • A creative, strategic, and entrepreneurial mindset
  • The ability to develop concepts that inspire both clients and the team
