Are you an IT Engineer looking for a new challenge? Does managing complex frontend payment applications appeal to you? Then this is the right place for you. You will be part of a multidisciplinary Dev Ops team responsible for building, running, and maintaining critical payment transaction applications.

Your main focus will be on IT Operations, with special attention to gathering, securing, and monitoring non-functional and operational requirements such as performance, stability, reliability, and security. Additionally, you will work on innovative solutions for various components:

• On one hand, you will focus on solutions for the ABN AMRO app, specifically aimed at payment initiation.
• On the other hand, you will be involved in the maintenance of the international portals for private banking clients, working on payment transactions and account management.

Our office is located at Groenelaan 2 in Amstelveen, where we work in a hybrid manner to maintain a healthy work-life balance. We are looking for a colleague who takes ownership, translates business needs, and can clearly explain technical solutions to end users. Collaboration is key to achieving the team’s goals.

As an IT Engineer at the Core Transactions grid, your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and configuring features in Firebase;
• Managing remote configurations, such as error mapping and messages;
• Incident management via Service Now;
• Documenting toggles and configurations in Confluence;
• Maintaining Data tag plans and performing data analysis based on those;
• Additionally, you will be actively involved in managing the operational and non-functional requirements of the applications, such as performance, reliability, and stability. You will act as the link between business and IT, combining functional and technical knowledge.

You will work in a dynamic and innovative environment within a Dev Ops team where collaboration is central. You will be the main contact point for upstream and downstream teams and play a key role in setting up infrastructure on Azure and other platforms. The Core Transactions team is responsible for maintaining applications with the highest demands, such as 24/7 availability, low latency, and zero data loss.

• You have a higher professional or academic level of thinking, preferably backed by a bachelor’s or master’s degree (a background in computer science is a plus);
• You have 5 till 10 years of experience in a complex IT environment, preferably in banking or financial services;
• You are willing to invest time in developing yourself according to market standards;
• You have knowledge of IT continuity and stability, development methods (Agile/Scrum/Dev Ops/ITIL);
• You understand that IT is about automating functionality and are eager to learn all functional ins and outs of the applications;
• It is a pre if you are familiar with business analysis activities.
• You possess strong communication skills, proactivity, and analytical ability.
