Highway Project Engineer

Job Description

Dewberry's Pennsylvania offices are seeking a Highway Project Engineer/Manager to work in Pittsburgh, Mechanicsburg, and Philadelphia. The role involves managing PennDOT and/or PA Turnpike Commission projects—including project management, consulting, and design of highways and roads. Responsibilities include supervising staff in document production, monitoring budgets and schedules, marketing new projects, preparing proposals, and interfacing regularly with clients.

• Supervise all staff necessary to complete assignments
• Monitor budgets and schedules
• Prepare proposals to provide professional services

• Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering is required
• Registered Professional Engineer in PA
• Experience in highway design, including:
  • Horizontal and vertical alignments
  • Drainage design
  • Erosion and sediment pollution control design
  • Stormwater management design
  • Pavement design
  • Traffic engineering
  • Experience with Micro Station and InRoads/Open Roads
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
• Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record
