A Part-time (32hrs) Project Worker (Complex Needs) in a Young Persons Supported Accommodation scheme in the Ammanford area of Carmarthenshire. You will work on a 4 week rolling rota covering days, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-in shifts.

About the roleAs a Complex Needs Project Worker your role will be to support the Manager with facilitating Young Person goal plans and will work extensively with them to advise on re-housing options. You will make referrals to other agencies in relation to temporary and permanent accommodation in conjunction with our resettlement team.
You will liaise with Social Services, Benefits Agencies, Housing Department, Resettlement Worker, Health and Safety and other relevant agencies, on matters affecting prospective and current clients of the service. Part of your role will be to promote mental health recovery and seek treatment and recovery for substance misuse where applicable.
We strive to ensure that everyone we support receives the very best support to enable and empower them to regain control of their life and to sustain their independence. This is a challenging role and you may be faced with complex situations and difficult behaviours and needs, so you will need to be able to adapt your approach to engage with a diverse clientele.
Skillsand Experience Needed
- A driving licence and access to a car
- A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a similar role or equivalent training or qualification
- Experience of working with Young People
- A passion to work with and enable people to live as independent a life as possible
- An enthusiasm and passion for making a difference to people’s lives
- A strong initiative and ability to work alone as well as being a great team player
- Ability to deal with conflicting and difficult situations and lone work

Pay and Pensions£28,041.00 FTE
Sleep-in rate: £62.64 per 8 hour shift
