A Personal Assistant is required for a Lady in the Ammanford area (near Pontaman) - for 4 hours per week.

To assist with Independent Living and Accessing Social Activities in the Community.

While I am restricted with my physical mobility, I am keen to maintain a normal life for as long as possible. It’s important for my health, independence, and well-being to get out of my home and spend time in the community.

I have mobility problems; I can walk short distances but not too far, without sitting, and cannot stand for long in queues etc, which makes it difficult to get out without someone accompanying me.

Assist with the following activities:

• Swimming – help dressing and undressing before and after the swimming pool.
• Social Events – attend social events, cinema, and local places of interest.
• Shopping – shop, try on clothes and shoes.
• Lunches – accompany to lunches.

Support use of a scooter and hoist in the car to visit parks, the beach, and retail parks.

A Disclosure Barring Service Check (DBS) / criminal record check will be required for this post. This will be completed on acceptance of job offer.

Direct Payment Recipient holds employer responsibilities;
Carmarthenshire County Council supports them to fulfil their employer obligations.
