Overview
A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at an elementary level location in Amherst, MA. This contract role is for the current school year and offers the opportunity to work with a diverse student population in a dual language setting. While bilingual skills are not required, they are considered a plus.
Responsibilities- Providing speech-language therapy services to a caseload of approximately 50 students
- Collaborating with classroom teachers, support staff, and the Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) on site
- Developing individualized treatment plans and conducting assessments
- Supporting students' communication needs within the school setting
- Possession of a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working in elementary school settings preferred
- Ability to design and implement effective therapy for school-aged children
- Familiarity with dual language or bilingual education environments is advantageous, but not mandatory
This role requires a commitment of 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, following school hours from 8:45 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. The position covers one school site and there are two openings available.
