Bachelor’s Degree. Registered dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). Must have and maintain licensure as a Licensed Dietitian in the State of Iowa.##

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience providing nutrition services to intercollegiate or professional athletes.  Experience identifying or working with eating disorders.  Experience in food service operations.##

** Sports Dietitian I
** position in Athletics. Initial sport assignment will be assisting across multiple Olympic and Football programs.

** What you’ll do*
* * Provide evidenced-based nutrition services via individualized and team assessment, counseling, and support.
* Deliver nutrition education to individuals, teams, recruits and coaches through a variety of methods.
* Collect, organize and present data in a way that is useful, collaborate and enhances sports performance decision making: perform DEXA body composition assessments, conduct hydration and/or sweat rate testing, and more as assigned.
* Assist with planning team meals and fueling for away competitions. Collaborate with on-site culinary team and off-site food vendors to support execution of fueling service needs.
* Assist with procurement, inventory management, and food safety standards for assigned sport.
* Collaborate on strategies and needs to enhance player performance.
* Assist with managing student-workers/interns.
* Assist with identifying disordered eating and referring student to appropriate resources.
* Perform all duties in adherence with

NCAA, Big 12, and university policies. The successful candidate must have knowledge base of sport nutrition curriculum; possess strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively and help write effective educational materials and presentations; be highly organized; and maintain confidentiality. Candidates are expected to be committed to multiculturalism and working with a diverse student body. Requires the ability to work outside normal business hours with a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends and overnight travel with the team.

This is an in-person/on-sight position.
