🔬 Position: QC Chemical Technician

📍 Ames, Iowa - On-site

Schedule:

Monday-Thursday, 2:00 PM to 12:30 AM

As a QC Chemical Technician
, you'll be part of our Analytical Services team, ensuring the quality and reliability of the chemical products that support our operations. Your work will directly influence the accuracy, safety, and performance of the solutions our customers rely on every day.

This role is hands-on, detail-oriented, and essential to our mission.

🧪 What Your Day Will Look Like

• Prepare laboratory standard solutions (often NIST-traceable) and document results
• Release conforming materials and hold nonconforming ones, collaborating closely with Operations
• Maintain detailed records of test results, calibrations, product history, and releases
• Keep the lab clean and contamination-free
• Perform routine maintenance and calibrations on lab instruments
• Follow all safety protocols, including PPE and safe chemical handling
• Partner with technical support to solve quality and operations challenges
• Cross-train to support production needs
• Organize and maintain retain samples
• Occasionally assist in training new QC Technicians

🎓 What You Bring

• High School Diploma/GED required;
  Bachelor's Degree preferred .
• Minimum 1 year of college chemistry with lab work.
• Strong analytical technique (volumetric glassware, dilutions, titrations)
• Ability to gather and analyze data

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate's position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $23.00 - $23.00 USD per hour. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.

We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
