Ames, Iowa. Onsite, 1st shift (Mon–Fri, 6:00 am–2:00 pm).

The Chemical Technician II is responsible for safely handling and moving large quantities of powdered chemicals during manufacturing of bulk chemical reagents, and for using wet bench chemistry to test and adjust the manufactured chemistry.

• Manufacture bulk powders, bulk solutions, microbiological media, and dyes using large quantities of powdered chemicals, concentrated acids, bases, heavy metals, oxidizers, and flammable materials.
• Perform production controls and adjust bulk reagents to meet product specifications and ensure quality.
• Comply with company safety policies, including safe operation of equipment, PPE usage, safe transportation, and handling of bulk chemicals, and keep accurate records for production and inventory.

• 1 year of completed college chemistry with lab experience required.
• 1 year of scientific production, process, or lab technician experience, or a Bachelor of Science degree in lieu of experience.

US ONLY – $27.00–$27.00 per hour, eligible for bonus pay.
