Express Employment Professionals has partnered with an Ames area manufacturer that is currently hiring a Safety Coordinator to join their team!
- Full-Time:
Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm - Pay starting at $24.00 per hour, based on experience
They’re looking for someone to assist the Site Manager in designing, defining, improving and maintaining safety programs.
- Educate employees via Safety Steering Committee to the level of “risk assessment” understanding to ensure goals towards a zero accident/incident workplace goals are being met
- Manage work-place injury situations including fact finding, information gathering, and record keeping
- workplace hazards to avoid accidents
- Prep and conduct safety trainings and assist in implementation of safety policy
- Update VOPS, SOPs, and SDS’s
- Assist with new hire orientation, visitor orientation, safety inspections
Requirements:
- OSHA and EH&S knowledge
- Ability to obtain OSHA 30
- 1 year of previous Safety experience is strongly preferred
