Job summary: Our client is a global, research-driven pharmaceutical manufacturer focusing on treatment options for diseases and conditions for which there is no satisfactory treatment option to date. The company is looking for a Veterinary Laboratory Associate to join the team. This is an amazing opportunity to work on cutting edge treatments and make a difference!
Schedule: Mon-Fri 8a-4p
Location: Ames, Iowa
Type of Job: one year assignment with possibility of extension
Responsibilities- Prepare labels and label clinical study samples.
- Assist in collection of clinical study samples or necropsy.
- Aliquot clinical study samples. (serum, swab effluents, fecal samples, animal tissue samples).
- Maintain electronic inventory of clinical study samples.
- Accurately record all laboratory activities and techniques on data capture forms, research notebooks, and raw data notebooks as appropriate.
- Review and contribute to protocols, planning, and execution.
- Create and prepare submissions to diagnostic laboratories and to BIAVRC laboratories.
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree
- Experience handling veterinary laboratory samples
- Experience with aseptic technique
