McFarland Clinic is currently accepting applications for Histologic Technician for its West Ames office. Candidates should be service-oriented, a team player, and be able to provide extraordinary care, every day to our patients.

Responsibilities include:

performing specialized frozen tissue processing used by a MOHS surgeon in the diagnosis and treatment of disease in accordance with McFarland Clinic's Core Values and Promise.

• Associate's degree in histological technology or related science from an accredited institution.

• Certification as HT (ASCP) or willing to train

Days: Monday - Friday will vary

Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM will vary

• Two years laboratory experience with cutting and staining tissues specimens preferred.
• Experience with operation and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation and assay systems preferred.

Pre-employment drug screen and criminal history background checks are a condition of hire.
