Job DescriptionIowa State University is seeking part‑time central Iowa Field Experience Supervisors to support candidates during practica and student teaching.
Required Expertise- Elementary Education
- Special Education K-8
- English as a Second Language K-12
- Music
Education:
Instrumental, Vocal, and/or General K-12 - Secondary Education
- Social Studies Education
- Math Education
- Science
Education:
all subject areas - World Language
Education:
Spanish
- Conduct in‑person observations and post‑conference with candidates to provide verbal and written feedback related to strengths and areas of improvement.
- Grade assignments, complete various evaluations, and serve as liaison between Iowa State University and the assigned cooperating teacher.
- Part‑time contract employees with a caseload of 4–6 students.
- Paid per student with mileage reimbursement for travel to schools.
- Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in an accredited school setting.
- Currently licensed or eligible for licensure in Iowa.
- Master’s Degree in a related field.
- Available for in‑person school‑based observations in central Iowa.
- K‑12 coaching or mentoring experience.
- Experience serving as a cooperating teacher for field experiences.
- Experience serving as a field experience supervisor.
