About The Team
County Fleet Maintenance are Warwickshire County Council’s in‑house vehicle maintenance and fleet assistance provider.
AboutThe Role
You will be responsible for carrying out general maintenance and servicing on a wide range of makes and models, primarily gritting vehicles and fire appliances. This includes engine, transmission and chassis repairs and diagnosis, electrical work and MOT preparation. A Class 4, 5 and 7 MOT tester qualification is desirable.
This is a full‑time permanent role working 37 hours per week.
Key Requirements- Level 3 NVQ in heavy goods vehicle maintenance, or an equivalent qualification
- A good understanding of vehicle diagnosis
- Understanding of vehicle compliance requirements
- Good communication skills to liaise with supervisors, other technicians, customers and suppliers

Additional InformationThe Fluency Duty is outlined in the Code of Practice on the English language requirements for public sector workers. This role’s Fluency Duty is required – you must be able to speak and provide advice in accurate spoken English to the public.
An NPPV check is required for individuals who are to be appointed due to frequent and uncontrolled access to government assets.
