IT Functional Test Specialist; fte

About the department

The Salesforce teams are part of the IT Delivery Unit and are responsible for delivering Projects and Change Requests on the Salesforce platform.

The teams are responsible for:

• Analyzing and defining project requirements;

• Solution designing, deploying, documenting and testing of new features;

• Connecting Applications through integrations;

• Creation of User Manuals and providing training;

• Assuring the right level of IT security;

• Handover to BAU (Business As Usual – Run side of IT);

• Project Management.

The IT Functional Test Specialist supports the Business Analysts (BA) in reviewing and analyzing business requirements and translating them into effective, risk-based testing. Acting on behalf of the business, the ITFTS designs test strategies and plans, executes test cases across environments, documents results, and drives defects to closure so that delivered functionality meets agreed requirements.

• Understand and review business requirements with Business Analysts

• Define clear acceptance criteria and ensure tests match the requirements

• Design and run manual test cases across different environments

• Report and follow up on bugs until they are resolved

• Join Agile team meetings and share testing updates and risks

• Help identify which tests can be automated and support automation efforts

• Write and execute SQL queries to validate data and support testing activities

• Use Power BI (or understand dashboards/reports) to validate data accuracy, perform analysis, and support business insights

• Work with basic scripting (e.g., JavaScript, Type Script ) to support test automation

• Vocational (equal to ‘HBO-level’ in the Netherlands) or academic degree in Information Management, Information Technology, Business Administration or other relevant field.

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in a similar position.

• Knowledge of and experience with different testing methodologies.

• Ability to document and troubleshoot errors.

• Knowledge of and experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

• Relevant experience with Salesforce.

• Experience with
  DWH or ETL testing is an advantage.

• Experience with test automation.

• Good analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude.

• Good communication skills.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Fluent in English.

The role is for 0.9 fte (36 hours). The role is fully remote and open to candidates based anywhere in Europe.
