A manufacture in the Netherlands is currently recruiting an Ecommerce Specialist to work in their Amstelveen office.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing existing e-commerce platforms, supporting the expansion of new e-commerce initiatives, overseeing inventory management, creating and optimizing product listings, and assisting with customer service.
The ideal candidate will have a few years of experience with e-commerce platforms, strong customer service skills, fluency in English, and a flexible, problem-solving mindset.
An understanding of Japanese culture, as well as proficiency in Japanese and/or other European languages, is highly beneficial.

Ecommerce Specialist
Main Responsibilities:
● Responsible for maintaining and updating existing e-commerce platforms (Shopify)
● Support the expansion and setup of new e-commerce platforms (e.g., Bol, Amazon)
● Manage inventory and coordinate with warehouse operations
● Create new product listings and optimize existing content to improve online visibility
● Act as the first point of contact for the customer service team, assisting with customer inquiries
● Report on sales performance, growth, and platform activities
Ecommerce Specialist Ideal Candidate:
● Business-level or near-native fluency in English (spoken and written)
● Knowledge of the Japanese language is required; proficiency in additional European languages is a plus
● At least 3 years of experience with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Amazon, and Bol
● Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel and Power Point
● Familiarity with or strong interest in Japanese (business) culture
● Willingness to learn about specialty coffee, tea, and kitchen-related products
● Polite, professional, and flexible with a problem-solving mindset, especially in customer service
● Strong attention to detail; punctual and well-organized
● Target-driven and results-oriented
● Excellent team player with good interpersonal skills
● Experience with SEO
● Experience with design software such as Adobe Photoshop
● Experience with Google Analytics
