Business Controller

The Company

A Global leading international dairy company with a cooperative heritage spanning over 150 years. The company processes milk into a diverse range of dairy products and ingredients, offering consumers high-quality options such as milk, yogurt, condensed milk, dairy-based beverages, cheese, butter, quark, and cream.

As a Commercial Controller, you will act as a strategic financial partner to the Sales team, supporting commercial decisions and driving performance. You will play a key role in steering financial insights, managing risks, and contributing to the long-term success of the product portfolio.

• Act as a sparring partner to the Commercial team by analysing, interpreting, and advising on financial results.
• Lead month‑end close activities for your product group.
• Support the development and execution of sales and account plans for Cheese.
• Drive long‑term strategies to up‑trade customers, reduce volatility, and build sustainable partnerships.
• Monitor and advise on commodity price risk management (WCCM), including hedging strategies and linked contracts.
• Prepare dashboards and insights for WCCM trade meetings.
• Provide financial analysis that supports customer segmentation (e.g., A/B classifications, T2T engagement).
• Work closely with the commercial lead to define and steer leading indicators of performance and strategic execution.

• Comfort working in a volatile, performance‑driven environment with strong cost and risk awareness.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to collaborate with Supply Chain, Planning, R&D, and Commercial teams.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in business controlling or finance.
• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; SAP and Power BI experience is a plus.
• Accountable, analytical, and eager to drive business impact.
• English required;
  Dutch is a plus.
