This position is responsible for coordinating the evaluation and processing of transfer credits, managing veterans benefits related enrollment and compliance functions, supporting student records operations, and performing other related duties as assigned.
Responsibilities Evaluates and processes transfer credits. (40%)- Evaluates transcripts to accurately apply transfer credit.
- Researches other institutions’ catalogs and reviews course descriptions.
- Maintains the Banner catalog to ensure transfer equivalencies are current and up to date.
- Assists faculty and staff in resolving transfer credit issues.
- Maintains Ga Transfer information.
- Provides excellent customer service to veterans and active‑duty personnel through consistent and effective outreach via multiple communication channels to encourage communication, retention, and degree completion.
- Performs academic reporting responsibilities related to tuition assistance.
- Certifies enrollment through Enrollment Manager and keeps the VA informed of veteran enrollment status.
- Remains current on VA rules, benefits, and updates to the SCO Handbook.
- Assists with annual updates to the State Approving Agency (SAA) regarding new programs, program changes, and other required information.
- Maintains records for VA students and prepares documentation for VA audits.
- Reviews student enrollments to ensure compliance with degree pathways.
- Coordinates with Student Accounts regarding VA‑related services.
- Assists faculty and staff in resolving VA‑related issues.
- Advises, registers, and communicates with incoming transient students.
- Reviews and processes out‑of‑state student waivers.
- Maintains and updates student academic records in Degree Works.
- Maintains information and downloads test scores from the Advanced Placement Portal.
- Receives and processes student test scores in Banner.
- Assists with the NCAA eligibility processes.
- Assists with reviewing Banner testing documentation for upcoming Banner upgrades within the Office of the Registrar.
- Serves as a backup for processing substitution forms.
- Serves as a backup for front office duties as needed.
- Assists with graduation audits and graduation ceremonies.
- Assists with the implementation of USG initiatives.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field required.
Required ExperienceMore than one year of related experience required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities KNOWLEDGE- Knowledge of student records management principles.
- Knowledge of university graduation policies and processes.
- Knowledge of Banner and Degree Works.
- Knowledge of transfer credit course equivalencies.
- Knowledge of veterans benefits policies and procedures.
- Skill in the operation of computers and job‑related software programs.
