Job Summary

This position is responsible for coordinating the processing of transfer credits for the College of Business and Computing and for performing specialized duties in the management of student academic records. It is also responsible for maintaining Degree Works and the Student Educational Planner. This position represents the Office of the Registrar with external and internal customers under the management of the Registrar.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluates and processes transfer credits for the College of Business and Computing. (50%)
    • Evaluates transcripts in order to properly apply transfer credit.
    • Researches other institution’s catalogs and reviews course descriptions.
    • Maintains Banner catalog to ensure current equivalencies are up-to-date.
    • Conducts presentation during orientation to inform students of transfer credit policies and procedures.
    • Processes all course substitution forms and applies as appropriate.
    • Assists faculty and staff in resolving transfer credit issues.
  • Oversees Degree Works, the Student Educational Planner (SEP) and assists with other technical duties. (40%)
    • Is the campus and technical contact for Degree Works (Dashboard, Scribe, Controller and Transit) & SEP.
    • Works with faculty and staff to resolve student degree audit issues.
    • Processes degree exceptions with appropriate Academic personnel as necessary.
    • Facilitates all upgrades and testing for Degree Works and SEP.
    • Responsible for all campus training for Degree Works and SEP.
    • Maintains GSW curriculum sheets.
    • Coordinates testing for Degree Works and Student Education Planner upgrades pertaining to the Office of the Registrar.
    • Helps in implementing technical USG initiatives.
  • Performs various academic curricula functions. (5%)
    • Maintains GSW curriculum sheets.
    • Assists with the update of the university bulletin.
  • Performs student records functions. (5%)
    • Assists faculty and staff in resolving transfer credit issues.
    • Assists with graduation audits and with graduation ceremony.
    • Help in implementing USG initiative.
    • Performs a variety of related duties.
Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements

Baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field required.

Required Experience

More than one year of related experience required.
