As a Full‑Time Building Inspector II or III at American Fork City, you will perform a range of working‑level, para‑professional, and technical duties focused on conducting site inspections across residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Your key responsibility will be to ensure that every structure adheres to established city and state building codes, guaranteeing safety and compliance for the community. This role not only offers hands‑on experience in the construction and inspection process but also allows you to engage with various stakeholders, enhancing your technical skills while promoting the integrity of American Fork's development projects.

To thrive in this position you must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, 4‑5 years of experience in a related field such as building construction or electrician certification, and a State of Utah Combination Inspector License. Basic four I.C.C. residential certifications and the four essential commercial certifications (Plumbing, Electrical, Mechanical, & Building Inspection) are required. Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, the ability to interpret and apply building codes effectively, and a current Driver's License are essential for success.

• State of Utah Combination Inspector License.
