As a Full-Time Building Inspector II or III at American Fork City, you will perform a range of working-level, para-professional, and technical duties focused on conducting site inspections across residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. To thrive as a Full-Time Building Inspector II or III at American Fork City, candidates must possess a variety of essential skills and qualifications. A High School diploma or equivalent is required, along with 4-5 years of experience in a related field such as building construction or electrician certification. Possessing a State of Utah Combination Inspector License is crucial, as is having the basic four I.C.C. residential certifications along with the four essential commercial certifications, including Plumbing, Electrical, Mechanical, and Building Inspection.

Moreover, strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to interpret and apply building codes effectively are vital for success in this role. A current Driver's License is also necessary, enabling you to conduct inspections efficiently across the city. Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

• High School diploma or equivalent; 4-5 years experience in a related field such as building construction, electrician certification or a combination of education and experience.
• State of Utah Combination Inspector License.
• Basic four I.C.C. residential certifications and the four basic commercial certifications. (Plumbing, Electrical, Mechanical & Building Inspection.)
• Must have a current Driver's License.
