A High School diploma or equivalent is required, along with 4-5 years of experience in a related field such as building construction or electrician certification. Possessing a State of Utah Combination Inspector License is crucial, as is having the basic four I.C.C. residential certifications along with the four essential commercial certifications, including Plumbing, Electrical, Mechanical, and Building Inspection.

Moreover, strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to interpret and apply building codes effectively are vital for success in this role. A current Driver's License is also necessary, enabling you to conduct inspections efficiently across the city. Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
