Lead Quality Assurance InspectorShift: Day (flexible)
Location:
American Fork, Utah (Only local candidates will be considered)
Reports to:
Assistant Quality Manager
Pay:
Starts at $26/hr.
- Lead, manage, and train a team of QA Inspectors
- Conduct routine inspections and testing of products
- Audit processes in real time to ensure SOPs are followed
- Lead investigation and resolution efforts for quality or food safety concerns on the production floor
- Proactively identify and implement improvements in quality and food safety as well as other areas of the business where appropriate
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and other company policies dra
- Train and provide feedback to other team members
- Support and lead internal audits
- Monitor critical control points in our processes to maintain standards of quality and safety
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and warehouse teams to troubleshoot and resolve concerns that may arise PART
- Communicate with leadership to identify root cause and resolution efforts of any quality or food safety concern
- Lead by example in promoting a culture of quality, continuous improvement, and food safety
- Cover responsibilities for other team members when they are absent
- Minimum of 3-5 years in a quality assurance role, preferably in food manufacturing Arb
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, food science, or related field preferred
- Familiarity with food safety programs like HACCP, SQF, and FSMA, and any certifications in these areas are encouraged
- Proficiency in computer use as well as data collection, analysis, and reporting
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to upholding quality standards
