The Hiring Manager leads recruiting and staffing for all Beaches Tanning and Spa stores. This isn't a traditional HR recruiter; it's a high urgency recruiting engine that works side-by-side with Operations leadership to ensure stores remain fully staffed with quality talent at all times.
Success in this role requires speed, decisive judgment, strong communication, exceptional organization, and full ownership of hiring outcomes. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, makes quick, sound decisions about talent, and treats staffing as a business-critical function.
Key Responsibilities Recruiting & Staffing- Manage full-cycle recruiting for all store-level positions including Sales Associates, Associate Managers, Assistant Managers, and Store Managers.
- Manage and mentor Recruiters, delegating sourcing, screening, and scheduling.
- Partner with Operations leadership on staffing needs, hiring priorities, and new store openings.
- Review applications daily and quickly move strong candidates through the hiring process.
- Ensure timely follow-up with all candidates to maintain a strong employer reputation.
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates through job boards, referrals, networking, and internal talent pools.
- Proactively source candidates through job boards, social media, referrals, and local networking.
- Partner with store leadership to identify future hiring needs before they become urgent.
- Use sound judgment to assess candidate fit for performance, professionalism, and culture.
- Maintain clear communication with operations and store leadership regarding staffing status.
- Help ensure a smooth transition from offer acceptance to onboarding.
- Identify ways to improve recruiting speed, candidate quality, and hiring processes.
- Monitor hiring trends, turnover patterns, and staffing gaps.
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years of recruiting, staffing, or high-volume hiring experience
- Experience recruiting for retail, hospitality, or service industries preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple hiring priorities at once
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong sense of urgency and follow-through
- Experience with applicant tracking systems or recruiting platforms preferred
