Senior Estimator - Commercial Construction

Overview

KDK Construction, LLC is looking for a Senior Estimator to join our team in Lehi, Utah
. An Estimator helps prepare cost estimates for construction projects based off the drawings, specifications, and other relevant project information provided by the client. The ideal person will have estimating experience for a general contractor in the Utah Market.

• Send bid invitations and follow up with subcontractors
• Define work scopes and identify possible scope gaps
• Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors
• Understand overall SF cost of various types of structures
• Understand costs for various materials
• Understand which materials and scopes have long lead times
• Understand means and methods of construction and various labor productivity rates
• Estimate costs of goods or services
• Confer with personnel to coordinate business operations
• Create and maintain organized estimate files
• Analyze business financial data
• Support estimators as required
• Performs all other duties as assigned

• Bachelor degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar degree
• 7+ years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry
• Knowledge of the subcontractor network in the Utah market preferred
