Under the supervision of the Production Supervisor, the Production Lead will be responsible for the coordination of daily shift operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for supporting and improving efficient equipment operation, training, organization, personnel issues, employment placement on each shift.
  • Organization of day-to-day operations of shift including troubleshooting as needed.
  • Ensure correct completion of all shift paperwork.
  • Enforce company policies, safety standards, GMP standards and HACCP.
  • Coach and support each team member and facilitate team meetings as needed. Including employee and temporary employee work assessments.
  • Cross train to be able to work in both areas of Molding and Chocolate Production.
  • Coordinate daily shift operations.
  • Audit shift and employee performance through SWF (Standard Work Form).
  • Participate in shift meeting.
  • Review MUV report daily.
  • Oversee line performance for quality, remelt and rates.
  • Perform quality checks of product and advice on how to solve issues.
  • Fill in for other Lead/Supervisor as needed.
  • Notify the Supervisor in charge of any anomaly that is outside the procedure.
  • Respect the safety rules and take care of yourself and your colleagues respecting and following the safety procedures in force in the company.
  • Report unsafe acts and conditions.
  • Participate of mandatory trainings.
  • Commit to fulfill the expectations of quality and service of the clients, as well as the current regulatory compliance applicable to the food industry.
  • Responsible for reporting any situation of potential or real danger to your superior and the Quality department.
  • Keep the area, tools and equipment in your care clean and tidy.
  • Clean floors and hallways in your area and support other areas when required.
  • Firmly follow the GMPs.
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Experience
  • Minimum 3 year of production manufacturing experience, ideally in the Food Manufacturing industry.
  • Mechanical ability/aptitude, a plus.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Computer skills;
    Excel and SAP, required.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment.
  • Good organization, math, written and oral communication, detail orientated, interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, must work autonomously with a minimum of supervision.
  • Must be able to adhere to all GMP and food safety rules.
Additional Requirements
  • Experience driving forklift is a plus.
  • Detail & results oriented.
  • Ability to lift at least 25 Kg (50 Lbs.).
  • Available for overtime when required.
  • Available to work on the weekends.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in the facility.
