Requirements / QualificationsEnrichment Band Instructor position is currently being offered at American Canyon High School. Candidates should be experienced in percussion pedagogy, rehearsal planning and implementation, teaching high school-aged students and teaching small and large group instruction. Applicants will be required to obtain First Aid/CPR, NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching, NFHS Sudden Cardiac Arrest, NFHS Concussion in Sports and Heat and Illness prevention, as well as all other Napa Valley Unified School District requirements.
The season begins in February and runs through May. Duties include working with one or more of the district's high schools Marching Band and/or Winter Percussion programs. Throughout the production, the coach will work alongside the credentialed teacher at American Canyon High School, supporting students of varying skill levels. This role includes rehearsal preparation, instruction, and performance support at one or more school sites, contributing to a high-quality production for a diverse student body.
