The below job summary and responsibilities reflects the duties of Sr. Storekeeper. The Storekeeper A will differ as fewer skills and/or experience will be required. The successful candidate will be placed at a level that is commensurate with the candidate s skills and experience.
Responsible for warehouse safety procedures and compliance with all SOX process control requirements and corporate polices and procedures associated with material management. Responsible for the security, tracking and control of approximately $12 Million in corporate inventory and on-time delivery of material to operations groups. Basic knowledge of warehouse processes and material control procedures, (receiving, shipping, issuing, cycle counting, re-ordering, etc.). Also, responsible for securing vendor services requested by plant/service center, for providing support to one or more storeroom locations and depending on work rules provide material handling support to warehouse personnel.
Ability to utilize software to track and control inventory transactions. Responsible for housekeeping in warehouse areas.
Position Summary

Advanced knowledge of warehouse processes and material control procedures, (receiving, shipping, issuing, cycle counting, re-ordering, etc.). Advanced understanding of the software used to track and control inventory transactions;
ability to direct safe work practices and monitor and oversee housekeeping duties. Also responsible for securing vendor services requested by plant/service center. Provides essential leadership, mentoring, and training to Storekeepers and Plant personnel, at various storeroom locations, and provide work direction to one or more Logistics employees when required.
Essential Responsibilities
- Advanced knowledge of and responsible for monitoring, maintaining and replenishing inventory in an efficient, cost effective and safe manner. Responsible for ensuring there is adequate material available for on-demand work requests and emergency/storm situations. Initiate material request up to assigned approval authority of $100,000. Issue and stage material for upcoming jobs as requested.
- Accountable for initiating and resolving claims and improving overall processes when there are shortages and/or returns with suppliers and carriers. Resolve discrepancies and assures validation of the returned items. Identify slow moving and obsolete material, following the obsolete write-off process.
- Strategize with other departments to reconcile materials, manage process improvements such as new item setups, min/max changes, consignment material, trailers, and kits.
- Coordinate, plan and execute in partnership with Supply Chain Buyers for material expediting, substitutions and special orders. Communicate any expected expedited costs with internal customer. Manage material need dates on purchase order releases, manage the On Time and In Full (OTIF) process and matrix, and assist Supply Chain and other business organizations regarding discrepancies. Performs additional Supply Chain services required by customer.
- Manage and confirm all processes are performed in accordance with all SOX requirements and Supply Chain process and procedures. Accountable for cycle counting and reconciliation on a monthly basis. Initiate bin location changes and scheduled parts exchange between facilities. Accountable for monitoring stock material is counted every 730 days is accordance with FERC.
