Position: Fleet Maintenance Technician - Hourly w/ OT & Weekends Off!

Flying Star is looking for a Fleet Maintenance Technician!

As a Fleet Maintenance Technician at Flying Star, you'll be responsible for keeping our fleet of diesel trucks running smoothly and efficiently. From routine maintenance to major repairs, you'll use your expertise to keep our trucks on the road and delivering goods to our customers.

What You'd Do:
  • KEEP DRIVERS MOVING Diagnosing & correcting equipment issues that keep our fleet at optimum productivity.
  • CONTROL COSTS Be innovative and proactive in your approach to repairs to help us control both time & material costs.
  • BE NEAT, CLEAN AND SAFE. Keep tools, equipment, shops, and property clean, organized, and safe at all times.
What We Need
  • 1-year minimum requirement in the motor carrier maintenance industry.
  • Knowledge of class 8 trucks and trailers.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic knowledge.
  • Basic diagnostic skills for electrical as well as mechanical breakdowns (ADD).
  • Must be able to speak and read English.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Current CDL with Haz Mat and Tanker endorsements preferred, but not required.
  • Experience with maintaining inventory and vehicle maintenance records preferred.
  • A willingness to share in an on-call schedule for after-hours and weekends.
