Product Health Technician
Warren Equipment Company is seeking a skilled Product Health Technician to perform critical repairs and maintenance on our product line. The role focuses on ensuring optimal performance through diagnostics, troubleshooting, and comprehensive service.
What You’ll Do- Complete assigned jobs and tasks to meet flat rate times and re‑do metrics.
- Work safely and follow all WCAT safety policies and procedures.
- Complete related paperwork and access databases required to finish jobs (work order, parts order, JSA, DBS, SIS web, STW) accurately and on time.
- Follow contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations.
- Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with minimal supervision.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, give recommendations for repairs, and perform all critical machine and engine repairs and adjustments.
- Test and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustments.
- Apply general failure analysis procedures to determine proper diagnosis.
- Perform safety and priority service letters issued by Caterpillar and/or other manufacturers, inspections required in our Planned Maintenance Program, and installation and repair of Product Link units.
- High school diploma or GED; 3–5 years of related experience and/or testing or an equivalent education/experience mix.
- Associate’s degree/certification in diesel technology or a similar mechanical discipline (preferred).
- Certification and/or experience in air‑condition and brakes.
- Clean driving record and CDL for field assignments; must be at least 21 to operate field vehicle.
- Specific CAT product knowledge of diesel, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic systems and components.
- General knowledge of hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments, diagnostic software, cranes and rigging equipment.
- Ability to provide accurate quotes and pricing estimates to the customer.
- May require completion of a DOT physical and/or MSHA certification.
- Successfully completed Work Steps assessment and all level II foundational assessment tests.
