Job Description

As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver in Amarillo, Texas, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast‑paced logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible, and help to deter security‑related incidents across yards, docks, and perimeter areas.

This is a driving post and requires a valid driver’s license in line with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site contacts, and deliver customer‑focused service with integrity and teamwork.

What You'll Do
  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, trailer lots, and perimeter points, documenting observations and reporting irregular activity.
  • Monitor access points and help manage the flow of employees, visitors, and drivers by verifying identification, logging entries and exits, and directing individuals to designated check‑in areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Complete security‑related reports such as incident reports, patrol logs, and shift activity summaries, and communicate relevant updates during shift turnover.
Minimum Requirements
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
