What You'll DoPerforms assignments in technical processes for the Safeguards & Security Personnel Security program. This position will be responsible for various Personnel Security activities including Personnel Security Reporting, monitoring Material Access Area (MAA) escort requests, name change/cohabitation processing, Requirements Management System actions, change control/publication and form updates, and certain Homeland Security Presential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) specialist roles. May review and process access requests in support of Access Control group.
Assist the Foreign Ownership, Control or Influence (FOCI) Coordinator, Clearance Lead, and Access Control Lead with operational tasks. May serve as form and publication document owner for Personnel Security activities. Uses Federal and Management & Operating (M&O) databases and processes to provide support. Serves as a Homeland Security Presential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) role holder as directed by management. Provides other clearance support as directed by management.
Supports Pantex Department of Energy (DOE) and M&O organizations with clearance processing, badging, and Personnel Security process actions. Performs customer service activities, and interacts and communicates with federal and contractor personnel in support of security programs. Maintains contact with the Federal Service Center on reportable situations involving clearance holders and applicants. Maintains accurate database records and runs database queries. Following guidance from management, initiates and controls the actions of the workgroup and assists in maintaining team focus to accomplish tasks to standard.
Provides guidance to site personnel on reportable events/situations as required by Department of Energy (DOE) Order 472.2A and related requirements documents. Identifies and assists in solving problems within the work group. Maintains Personnel Security equipment and ensures resources are available to employees. Contributes to safety, security, and quality in the environment and promotes a strong customer service attitude and expectations for performance at the work site.
Performs process troubleshooting. Works as an integral team member with effort directed toward achieving Personnel Security Program goals.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree:
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience. Typical experience ranging from 4 to 7 years. - Master’s degree:
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience. - OR applicants without a bachelor's degree may be considered based on a combination of at least 10 years of completed education and/or relevant experience

- Knowledgeable of applicable Department of Energy (DOE) Orders and Directives and assist supervisor with assessments, surveys and audits. Must be proficient in all applicable Department of Energy (DOE), Federal, and Pan Te Xas Deterrence (PXD) Databases.
- Requires proficiency in written and oral communication skills, computer skills and management techniques.
