Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for night shifts, requiring a TX or compact RN license and at least 1 year of recent experience.
Responsibilities- Work in a 10-bed Medical Surgical unit within a hospital setting
- Night shifts available with 3x12 or 4x12 hour options (19:00–07:30)
- Nurse to patient ratio is 1:6
- Uses Epic EMR, experience within the last 6 months preferred
- Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not eligible for consideration
- Travel experience is not required and first time travelers will be considered
- Former permanent staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
- No travel pairs or groups accepted for this assignment
- No more than 3 days of requested time off (RTO) is allowed, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
- Active TX or compact RN license required at the time of consideration
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience required; 1-2 years strongly preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Recent Epic charting experience preferred
