About Northwest Physicians Group
Northwest Physicians Group formed in 2013 with a focus towards population health management. The group has grown to a network of over 40 providers serving patients at numerous primary, specialty and urgent care locations in Amarillo, Texas. Northwest Physicians Group is affiliated with Northwest Texas Healthcare System, a 495-bed system acute care hospital serving approximately 650,000 residents of the Texas Panhandle and surrounding region.

The system provides acute care services including cardiac, pediatric, women's, emergency, surgical and behavioral healthcare.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the quality of care delivered to patients.
  • Collaborate with other health care professionals in the delivery of health care services.
  • Make independent decisions about nursing needs and interdependent decisions with physicians regarding health regimens.
  • Assume dependent responsibilities in carrying out delegated medical acts.
  • Support an organizational culture for Service Excellence and practice Service Excellence Standards to all groups.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited or NLN‑approved RN program.
  • Current license or permit to practice professional nursing in Texas and maintain throughout employment.
  • Current Adult Nurse Practitioner license to practice in Texas and maintain throughout employment.
  • Minimum of 12 months of current nursing practice in the specific specialty area in which the nurse will practice advanced nursing.
  • Knowledge of Medical Staff Bylaws, Rule and Regulations.
  • BLS from the American Heart Association upon hire and maintain throughout employment.
