CNC Machinist

SCOPE:
Operate CNC (computer numerical controlled) equipment to machine work pieces to meet blueprint, engineering specifications, and shop floor documentation.

EDUCATION/TRAINING:
High School Diploma or GED with machining certificate from a reputable trade school preferred or demonstrated experience in industrial machining.

SPECIAL

SKILLS:

The employee must have a thorough knowledge of blueprint reading, the use of precision measuring equipment, and a general understanding of G-code programming.

• Follow set-up sheets and programming notes to set up mills, lathes, grinders, and other CNC machines to produce parts per the blueprint and engineering specifications.
• Must be able to set tool dimensions per the CNC program.
• Run CNC machines to produce parts meeting specifications while meeting production schedules efficiently.
