Shipping Supervisor - 2nd Shift - Amarillo Ground Beef

Scope of Duties:

This position will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of hourly employees involved in our grind plant operations. Provide new hires and current employees training and leadership. Communicate and provide feedback and guidance to hourly employees. Maintain plant-wide compliance with federal food safety regulations. Maintain a safe work environment. Assist Shipping manager in special projects and assignments as required.

• Schedule, oversee and allocate work assignments.
• Assign all work loads, verify loads and quantities.
• Manage all incoming and outgoing loads, ensure accuracy by checking shipments against orders.
• Updating inventory records and coordinating with carries.
• Ensure that all environmental standards, State and Federal are in compliance.
• Ensure production quality compliance by enforcing established standards.
• Make sure equipment operates at maximum efficiency.
• Assist Shipping Manager to minimize downtime, maximize run times efficiencies.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment for employees.
• Responsible for meeting assigned daily shipping goals.
• Ensure that all employees are treated with respect and dignity.
• Ensure that all ethical and code of conduct standards for employees are met.
• Completes management reports as required.
• Assist Shipping Manager in day-to-day employee relations efforts.
• Assist with hourly employee training.
• Verifies hourly timekeeping for payroll.
• Assist in production efforts if necessary to meet daily production goals.
• May perform other related tasks as necessary.

• Attention to detail and accuracy regarding time and organizational management.
• Ability to handle stress in a manufacturing operation.
• Knowledge of federal employment laws, OSHA Regulations, and Food Safety Regulations.
• Must be able to assist in driving operational performance to meet production goals.
• Must be customer focused, meet and/or exceed customer requirements.
• Must be able to train and develop hourly employees.
• Must be organized and able to multi-task.

• HS diploma required and some college preferred.
• Requires 2 years of progressively responsible industry experience.
• Requires lead or supervisory experience.
• Ability to operate a stand-up forklift and ride on pallet jack required.
• Ability to work 2nd shift hours, weekends and holidays as needed.
